The Fidelio Trio was formed in 1994 by three then scholarship students from the Guildhall School of Music & Drama and the Royal College of Music. In 1996 they won the ensemble class of the Tunbridge Wells International Young Concert Artists Competition and in November of that year made their South Bank Debut giving the UK premiere of Toru Takemitsu's 'Between Tides'. Since then they have performed in Hong Kong, France, throughout Ireland and the British Isles and have recorded for the BBC and RTHK Radio 4.

The Trio have commissioned many new works and recent UK premieres have included Edison Denisov's Trio at Conway Hall, Chick Corea's 'Addendum' at Blackheath Halls and 'Memory' by Toshio Hosokawa at The Royal Opera House.
